Audio Playback¶

The following audio types will be played back by default within Centrafuse:

MP3
WAV
WMA
OGG
APE
FLAC
AAC
M4A *AAC playback requires 3rd-party module
MP2
MP1
MPC
WV
OFR
SPX
MO3
XM
MOD
S3M
IT
MTM

Video Playback¶

The following video types will be played back by default within Centrafuse:

AVI
QT
MOV
MPG
MPEG
M1V
WMV

Playing back additional video formats within Centrafuse¶

Centrafuse will not play any other formats natively, this is because they are not defaulted to be played by Windows Media Player, which Centrafuse uses for video playback. However, you may manually change this to allow Centrafuse the ability to playback any media format.

Before you edit any files, please make sure your desired video and video format play outside of Centrafuse in the media player you desire, and this media player is set to be the default media player on your system.

Modify this file with notepad (or your text preferred editor, NOT with word):

Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\(Your User)\Local Settings\Application Data\Centrafuse\System\config.xml

Windows7:: C:\ProgramData\Centrafuse\Centrafuse Auto\(Your User)\System\config.xml

On the 4th line you can read:

<VIDEOEXT>avi|qt|mov|mpg|mpeg|m1v|wmv</VIDEOEXT>

Add in your desired extensions, separated by vertical lines:

<VIDEOEXT>avi|qt|mov|mpg|mpeg|m1v|wmv|rm|rmv|mkv|dvx</VIDEOEXT>
